Figure 1: Map of the area covered by Wager’s expeditions in East Greenland. These were as follows: 1930-31 in the Angmagsalik district with longer sledge journeys to the Inland Ice and Mount Forel and by ship to Kangerdlugssuaq, 1932 from Scoresby Sound to Angmagsalik by ship; in 1933 from Scoresby Sound by ship; 1935-1936 to the Watkins Range and in the Kangerdlugssuaq area; in 1953 around Skaergaard and Kap Edvard Holm.Angmagsalik and Scoresby Sound are the only human settlements in this area.
